Dad arrived home tonight from his 2160.4 mile drive from Dallas,
to bring home the new Suburban... It's the unoffical Jack Bower edition :)

Today Chow Way Lee, a friend from china, wanted to make Chinese dumplings (since my Chinese stinks, i cant remember the real name). She busily scurried around the kitchen grabbing different vegetables and spices. Then with skill, she chopped and sliced and mixed, until the filling met her satisfaction. Then she make a loaf of dough and cut thin slices off of it, and using chopsticks, put the filling on the circles and made little dumplings. Next she put it all in boiling water for a few minutes and, vuala! we had a delicious lunch.

This whole process kinda made me think of our lives. How it may seem that inside, we have all these different ingredients scattered around. They have no paticular use by themselves, but if we allow God to come into our kitchen, He will mold and prepare us the way he wants us. And even thought we usually don't want to be boiled nobody wants to eat a raw dumpling.
So the moral of the story is... cook you food before you eat it! not really

huh... now i'm hungry again.

This is a very long exposure of the fanlight in my room.

Here I am getting ready to start a new week of school and the usual ongoings at the hull household. And sitting here on Sunday night after a very encouraging message at church, I'm just thinking about the theme that seems to be going around. "God can use you no matter how young you are" You don't have to wait until you're in high school or college or until you're married or are "older" to serve Him! God can and will use you now if you let Him. I want to encourage all of you that even if you feel unquialified for the job, God will use you. I admit, I have at times, taken Jesus' sacrifice for me for granted and made myself and my desires more important than God's desires. When really... I don't even deserve to take another breath.

So again, I want to encourage you... If you're still alive, God's got a use for you!

oh yeah, go patroits!

M
y camera came home today. yay
So within the hour, I went on a walk and put it to good use.

Just in case you were wondering, the 1/2 marathon went great. Everyone did well and had a great time. Although now I have a challenge to a full marathon from Mr. Story.
Need to get ready for that one :)

School starts up again tomorrow. So far I have enjoyed our work this year. I especially like researching the history of our house, and I'm sure another trip to the courthouse for a little more digging is in order for this week.

Super Walmart: the largest warehouse of cheap things in the world.
I still bought three things there....I just couldn't resist the A&W t-shirt :)
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines

So we sailed up to the sun
Till we found the sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine

We all live in our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

^ That's how many feet I am going to run Sunday.
Suddenly the CFA 1 mile doesn't sound that bad :)

Speaking of CFA... It starts tommorow, and I'm looking forward to a great year.
It should be fun doing a musical this year.

It's so hard to blog without pictures, but my poor camera is still in for repair :(

Well, it's almost time to start school so I must go.

Romans 8:37-39 (NKJV)

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
